Good day kids. The word for the day is: concubine

ˈkɒŋkyəˌbaɪn, ˈkɒn-/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[kong-kyuh-bahyn, kon-]

a woman who cohabits with a man to whom she is not legally married, esp. one regarded as socially or sexually subservient; mistress.

And while we're talking about kept women and girls on craigs list...the GM is whirling deals back in the conference room trying to get done by 5pm. I think he chooses not to listen while we're on the he can claim ignorance with the next "concern" he receives about us.

Death Of Backwards Masking

The urban legend of led Zeppelin's Stairway To Heaven: Satan is trying to reach us through song. Through Stairway To Heaven no less!

satan uncovered! the segment played backwards-it says "my sweet satan"

Since the inception of CD's...we have lost the precious opportunities of uncovering Zep's satanic messages because unlike albums, you can't play CD's backwards. Oh well.

This is the youtube presentation of satan trying to reach us through Stairway To Heaven. It's almost like a mashup!

What used to happen: people would have to buy three copies of Led Zeppelin IV which had Stairway To Heaven on it and by playing Stairway To Heaven backwards so many times, two copies would get ruined but that's okay because you had one clean copy left.

No wonder Zep sold so many copies of Led Zep IV.

Richard Gere and The Men's Rules For Men

So...Richard Gere. What's his deal? We have the audio of him "cutting up" with the girls on the show and guys just don't hang around and "cut up" with a group of girls. Guys "cut up" with guys.

So maybe it's time to review.

The Men's Rules For Men

1. Never talk to a man in a bathroom. If you're worried about being almost imperceptible nod could be okay. But no more than that.

2. It is permissable to quaff a fruit chick drink (such as a strawberry daiquiri) only when you're sunning on a tropical beach...and it's delivered by a topless supermodel...and it's free. It MUST be free.

3. Under no circumstances shall two men share an umbrella.

The rest of the rules can be found here.

Clay Aiken. Ummm...we already know.

And now this special's official...Clay Aiken is gay.

So yeah and there are others who should make their special announcement also.

1. Tom Cruise

2. Ryan Seacrest

3. Troy Aikman

4. Lance Armstrong

5. Richard Gere

And what's the story with Richard Gere?? Besides the gerbil story. So here he is having a little too much fun relating with the girls on some show. He calls Diane Sawyer a slut.

Rock Hall Pre-Show Party

Many of the people performing at the Rock Hall Benefit Show rolled in a little early for the kick-off party at Deep South. Rick French introduced everyone on the stage and the Mayor of Cary spoke and so did Steve Luongo of the John Entwistle Band. I had interviewed John Entwistle before he died in 2003 and Steve Luongo was on the phone with him and I remember it being a particularly bad interview and I found out tonight that John Entwistle cannot hear at all and that's why Steve was on the interview with tell him everything I said. I had no idea that was the case until Steve told me that tonight.

F&B Community Service Award

This Hess on Capital Boulevard kept their gas prices at 3.68 all weekend through Hurricane Ike unlike most. Some stations were up to 4.89 around here...namely the one near the K-Mart in Garner. We dropped in to acknowledge. Of course...they bumped it up a touch today to 3.89 but...

Vince Young

Vince Young is a case. Of some sort. His Mom had said he was "hurting inside and out" because he had suffered a really bad football injury and plus...his home fans were booing him after he had thrown a 2nd interception last week. The story was he disappeared for 4 days when really, he was just "chilling out at home".

Remember he had done really poorly on the Wonderlic Test? The NFL gives that to prospective NFL players to see how well they can grasp complicated NFL offensive systems. Questions like these:

  • What language is spoken in France?
  • Advanced math: If you have three apples-how many do you have?
  • Metric Conversion: How many feet is 0.0 meters?

show audio: tough test for Vince!

Some Wonderlic Scores: 20 is considered average. 10 is considered literate.

Philip Rivers 30

Vince Young 6

Manny Lawson 43

Dan Marino 13

Heath Shuler 16

Tony Romo 30

David Garard 14

Donovan McNabb 16

Drew Bledsoe 37

Brett Favre 22

Another Dennis DeYoung InStudio Performance

Dennis Deyoung-Blade-Robin Fox-Bananas Foster-Rock French (Rock Hall of Fame)

This song is done with a guitar on "Equinox" but originally it was done with piano as Dennis DeYoung explains in his visit to 96rock Monday afternoon. We replayed 4 of the songs he did today.

Really something.

The guy can still sing as good as he did in the day because, in his words..."He didn't smoke, drink or do luck". How do you not do THOSE things in the '70's????

He kept calling Foster "Bananas Foster" and he made references to "Switch" Blade. Foster likened him to a lounge singer and that was just not right. Something about a tip jar.

Dennis DeYoung InStudio

Robin Fox-Blade-Dennis DeYoung-Foster-Rick French (Rock Hall Of Fame)

Former Styx singer and keyboard player Dennis DeYoung visited today on our show and he used our studio keyboard to perform a medley of Styx classics plus "Lady" and "Suite Madame Blue".

What a show.

Blake Peebles-Guitar Hero Champ

This guy is from here and he quit school to live the dream. Guitar Hero champ. He's heading to the U.S. National Tournament in LA in Otcober...we'll keep you posted on how he does.
We caught him at Raleigh Wide Open in his own booth promoting Guitar Hero.

He said Dragon Force music was the toughest stuff out there. And also one of the toughest was Charlie Daniels "Devil Went Down To Georgia" because his fiddle work is done as a guitar in Guitar Hero. Here Blake is doing "Cliffs Of Dover" fromn Eric Johnson. He said this was one of the hardest to do also-looks like he's doing pretty well here hahaha.

Poor Sarah!!

So do you spell Sarah with an "h" or not? We couldn't play the whole convention speech she threw out there because it was unbearably uncomfortable. We understand things like this can happen at inopportune times but the poor thing had it happen in her shining moment with a nationwide audience tuned in. Baaaaaad time for an outbreak of this nature.

Looking for Palin

"What's wrong with this picture?"

If you didn't catch it yesterday...this is the only sexy shot of Sara Palin out there in the whole wide interweb and of course it's photoshopped. Look at where her breastiges are-you might not catch it at first site. We know she's had 5 kids and all but still...

Tuesday's Top 5 Searches on the internet

1. Sarah Palin naked

2. Sara Palin hot photos

3. Sara Palin beauty pageant

4. Sara Palin bikini photos

5. Hurricane Gustav

(Man-there is NOTHING out there on her. Come on!! She grew up in the '70's didn't she?)

Who's in her sex tape?

We sit here waiting for the good stuff to come out...when did she smoke weed and above all, who did she do the sex tape with? She HAD to do one. This is the golden age of video-come on. Sarah Palin-who did you do the sex tape with?

show audio: some early returns on who she had the sex tape with

Bad Photoshop Pic of the Day: Sarah Palin

What is wrong with this photoshop????
